Google search got a small update July 28th that could potentially have a big impact on local businesses.
Now, when people search for businesses on mobile and click through on them, in addition to hours of operation, phone numbers, and address, they will be able to see the “popular times” for that business. The data is displayed thorough a bar chart that can be browsed by day or week.
What does this mean for customers? They get to know if there’s a line-up before they even leave the house.
Google is still in the process of rolling the update out for everyone, but recent reports state that “millions” of verified local business have already received the update.
